As China marks its 47th Arbor Day, Luxen Solar organized a voluntary tree-planting event in Nantong, demonstrating its commitment to green development with concrete actions, one tree at a time.
At the planting site, employees worked in perfect coordination, following technical guidelines under the guidance of professionals. The scene was one of bustling activity: shovels swung through the air, carving small pits into the soil; samplings were carefully placed into the earth, straightened, and covered with soil before receiving their first nurturing splash of water. By next year, they will have grown into lush trees, adding yet another shade of Luxen’s green to the planet.
Since the 1990s, China’s forest coverage has increased from 16.74% % in 1990 to 25% in 2024. We are proud to know that we are contributing actively to China.

🌿Great Green Wall 🌿
Planting the trees started in 1978 to combat the expansion of the Gobi Desert.
In 2024, a 3,000-kilometer green belt around the Taklamakan Desert was completed with over 30 million hectares of trees, which is about the size of Italy.
🌱Carbon Sequestration 🌱
China’s forests sequestered approximately 1.11 gigatons of carbon per year between 2010 and 2016, offsetting about 45% of the country’s annual greenhouse gas emissions.
🌍 Global Contribution 🌍
Between 2000 and 2017, China accounted for approximately 25% of the global increase in greening.
🌾 Biodiversity 🌾
Reforestation has improved biodiversity, enhanced soil and water conservation, and provided timber and non-timber forest products, boosting local economies.
💚 Social impact 💚
Government-led initiatives involve millions of people in afforestation projects. Schools, companies, and communities participate.
